Cubs Suffer 5-1 Setback
|
Everett Hardin was a major contributor to the 5-1 Fresno win over Chicago. The Falcons center fielder was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Karson Lenz in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Joe Borck took the loss. The Falcons saw their win-loss record go to 24-17. At the same time, the Cubs fell to 20-21.
In the top of the second of a scoreless game, Hardin hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Hardin told the Fresno Gazette.
