Phillies Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Black Bears, 10-6
Virginia got a terrific performance from pitcher Chase Erickson, but it wasn't enough to beat the Philadelphia Phillies. Philadelphia won the The Sparrow's Nest contest, 10-6. Erickson threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Rodrigo Rodríguez got credit for the win, improving to 10-4. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 1.2 innings. Isaiah Williams recorded the save for Philadelphia, his 1st of the season.

Philadelphia used the clutch hitting of Liam Lyons to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Phillies the lead, 8-6. For the game, Lyons had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Lyons after the game.

At 70-86, the Phillies claim 4th place in the Eastern Region Atlantic Division.
