Behind the hitting of Teagan Dunn, the Rome Braves stopped the Lexington Legends, 9-3. Dunn went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Braves. Rome reliever Ryland Powell picked up the win to move to 3-1. Cole Tuttle suffered the loss. The losses continue to pile up for Lexington, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
Bill Saunders Jr. chipped in for Rome, stroking a crucial 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning. For the game, the right fielder went 1-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"This losing is getting old," said Lexington manager Curtis Bishop.
