Twins Fall Short, 4-3, at Philadelphia
|
The Philadelphia Phillies picked up a win at Citizens Bank Park, taking down the Minnesota Twins, 4-3. Starting pitcher Anwell Kea was a big reason why. Philadelphia reliever Aidan Rodkey picked up the win to move to 3-2. Waldo Tanner suffered the loss. Philadelphia is 21-23 and Minnesota, with the loss, 24-20.
Victor Redd hit a run-scoring double off Bertram Rosenberger in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Phillies in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Redd had 1 single, while going 2 for 3.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Minnesota skipper Christian Gibson.
