Big Day for Millner in 7-3 Reds Win
|
Getting offensive support from Ollie Millner, the Cincinnati Reds topped the Montreal Expos, 7-3. Millner went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Reds. Isaac Kwiatkowski got the win, improving to 5-3. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The Reds saw their record improve to 22-23.
The Reds got a big hit from second baseman Ethan Hicks. In the bottom of the sixth, Hicks pounded a bases-clearing double to left. His 4th double of the season put the Reds ahead, 5-0.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Millner. "I just want to win ballgames."
