Stripers Deal Red Sox Painful Loss
|
Led by Zachary Halter, the Gwinnett Stripers downed the Pawtucket Red Sox, 5-4. Halter went 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 for the Stripers. Gwinnett reliever Noah Collier picked up the win, raising his record to 3-3. Owen Holiday was tagged with the loss. Gwinnett, now 47-81, holds down last place in the International League Southwest Division.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 13th. With no one out, Halter hit a fastball from Owen Holiday for a solo home run. The Stripers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Halter.
