Sidewinders Trip Aces, 5-1
|
Pitcher Robert Valenzuela was sensational for the Tucson Sidewinders in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Reno Aces. Valenzuela picked up the win, and it was well-earned. Tucson, now 16-25, holds down 8th place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.
Alex Davis, the 27-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Davis contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Tucson up, 2-0.
"Robert had electric stuff," said Tucson manager Mike Briggs.
