The performance of Randy Kennedy proved critical in helping Indianapolis beat Memphis, 5-1. The Ignition catcher went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Indianapolis is now 30-21, 3½ games up in the Eastern Region Great Lakes Division.

Indianapolis used a clutch hit from Jason Stafford to get the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ignition ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Kennedy said.
