Albuquerque picked up a win at River Cats Ballpark, toppling the Sacramento River Cats, 1-0. Pitcher Carlos Osorio was one of the reasons the Isotopes triumphed. Albuquerque reliever Snowball Robilotta was the winner. His record is now 5-4. The losing pitcher was Cullen Sparks. The 7th-place Isotopes lifted their record to 48-57.
Albuquerque used the timely hitting of Tony Strain to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Isotopes on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Strain told the Albuquerque Chronicle.
