|
Behind a solid performance from right fielder Courtney Wilson, the El Paso Chihuahuas defeated the Edmonton Edge, 7-5. Wilson was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Chihuahuas. The save went to Damen Page, his 18th this season. El Paso raised its record to 73-56 with the win.
Ryker Eudy hit a 2-run double off James Clemons in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Chihuahuas in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Eudy had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Wilson, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
