Falcons Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Fresno Falcons had to overcome a fine effort from Memphis pitcher Logan Atwell to grab a narrow 8-7 win at Savemart Center. Atwell went 7.1 innings and allowed no runs. Fresno reliever Mikel Rodriguez picked up the win, upping his record to 8-1. Da'Shawn Evans shouldered the loss. The first-place Falcons have won 6 in a row.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Fresno third baseman Apolo Tussey, facing Da'Shawn Evans, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Falcons the 8-7 win.

"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said Tussey. "But it's all business when we're on the field."
