The Portland Hops had to overcome a good performance from Cincinnati pitcher Stu Tindall to claim a 3-1 win at The BeerGarden. Tindall went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Portland pitcher B.J. Crawford got the win. He's now 5-3. Stu Tindall was tagged with the loss. The Reds, at 31-31, have lost 4 straight games.

The Hops got a big at-bat from right fielder Tyler Schember. For the game, Schember was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 13th double of the season gave Portland a 2-0 lead.
