B.J. Crawford never let the Ignition get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Hops to a win, 3-1. Vic Mallery sewed up the save, his 16th. The Hops go to 26-41 with the win.

The Hops got a big at-bat from designated hitter Lobo Peña. For the game, Peña was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Portland a 2-0 lead.

"I had everything working," said Crawford.
