Cardinals Win in Glorious Fashion, 3-2
The Cardinals earned a hard-fought, 3-2 win in 10 innings at Busch Stadium. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Cincinnati pitcher Noah Kucala. Kucala went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Reliever Henry Wolfe picked up the win. His record improves to 4-4. Kyle Egerton, who leads the EAST in saves with 21, took the loss. With the victory, the Cardinals upped their record to 41-37.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for St. Louis. That's when Mick Nowakowski hit a run-scoring double off 30-year old right-handed pitcher Kyle Egerton to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Everybody in here is a professional. You have to do what you have to do," said Nowakowski.
