In a low-scoring contest, Cleveland pitcher Neville Mahaffey was marvelous in his team's 3-1 win. Sebastian Sienkiewicz recorded the save, making him 17 for 20. At 39-45, the Indians claim 4th place in the Eastern Region Great Lakes Division.

The Indians got an important contribution from first baseman Anibal Gaines, who in the bottom of the first punched a 1-0 changeup into left for a 2-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Indians ahead, 3-0.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Gaines.
