Indians Get Clonked by Knights, 6-2
|
The Las Vegas Knights picked up a win at Big Slick's House of Hardball, taking down the Cleveland Indians, 6-2. Starting pitcher Noah Bell was a big reason why. In 8 innings, Bell surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. The Knights sport a record of 39-64.
David Aoki drove in one run for Las Vegas. The 31-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Max Gilchrist. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Bell told the Las Vegas Chronicle.
