Hodge Helps Milwaukee Cruise to 11-2 Win
|
In the 11-2 Milwaukee win over Boston, the impact of Nick Hodge was substantial. Hodge, who is tied for 7th in the EAST in total bases with 232, was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Hastings Anderson, credited with the win, is now 3-13. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 9 innings. Milwaukee is in last place in the Eastern Region Great Lakes Division with a record of 44-69.
The Brewers got a big at-bat from second baseman Joshua Ragsdale. For the game, Ragsdale was 1-5 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 16th double of the season gave Milwaukee a 2-1 lead.
"Good hitting and good pitching is a lethal combination," said Ragsdale.
