In a high-scoring contest between Minnesota and New York, right fielder Raul Cathey was a difference-maker. Cathey, who finished 3rd in the EAST in wins above replacement with 7.4 in 2047, distinguished himself in the 9-8 Minnesota win. He went 3-6 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The win gives Minnesota a season record of 68-45.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the 13th, with Minnesota trailing 8-7, Cathey hit a fastball from Denmark Cowell for a 2-run home run, giving the Twins the walk-off win.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Cathey.
