Red Sox Get One-Run Win at Baltimore
|
The Red Sox grabbed a win, 6-5, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, overcoming a fine effort from Baltimore pitcher Bud Harrell. Harrell went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. Levi Paratore got the win, improving to 6-9. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 9 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 2. Louis Favreau notched his 25th save in 30 chances.
It could have been a different outcome for Boston, had it not been for Liam Sena, the three-time All-Star . Sena contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Boston up, 6-1.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Sena said.
The Red Sox sport a record of 43-73.
