Phillies Lose, 7-3, at Fenway Park
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox get after it.
Philadelphia got a terrific game from second baseman Liam Lyons. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Boston, 7-3. Lyons was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. Conrad Strong earned the win for Boston. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 6-5. Louis Favreau converted his 29th save in 34 tries.
Tomas Urbina, who finished 3rd in the EAST in slugging percentage with .601 in 2035, chipped in for Boston with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Urbina told the Boston News.
The win puts Boston at 47-80.
