Late Rally by Mariners Secures 4-2 Win
Carson Loveday was superb against Texas. The right-hander, who leads the WEST with a 0.94 WHIP, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Mariners victory. The score was 4-2. Gunner Dalman, now 4-2, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 1. Seattle, at 83-45, is 8 games up in the Western Region Northwest Division.

Seattle used the timely hitting of Kent Niemann to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Mariners on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Loveday told the Seattle Herald.
