Montreal first baseman Miles Kaye contributed to his team's 8-1 win over the Cincinnati Reds. Kaye, who finished 5th in the WEST in extra base hits with 82 in 2042, went 2 for 3 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Expos. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Expos.

With Montreal leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Kaye hit a fastball from Roger Jenkins for a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Expos ahead, 5-0.
