Indians Wrest Win from Black Bears, 8-7
The Cleveland Indians outlasted the Virginia Black Bears, 8-7, in 14 innings. Jonathan DeMarino led the way, going 3-for-6 for Cleveland. The win belongs to Cam Watson in relief. His record improves to 4-10. Axl Avery took the loss for Virginia. The win makes Cleveland 70-60.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 14th inning, when Cleveland right fielder Chia-Wei Ni, facing Axl Avery, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Indians the 8-7 win.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Josh Mackin, the Cleveland manager.
