2-0 Win Takes Ravens to 33-20
|
The New Haven Ravens got a stellar performance from pitcher Ned Achterberg, who handcuffed the Binghamton offense en route to a win, 2-0, at The Ballpark at Jackson. Achterberg got the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 1 hit and walked 3 over 6.1 innings. Achterberg allowed no runs. The Ravens bumped their record to 33-20 with this latest triumph.
In the bottom of the fourth, Josiah Mata delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the New Haven shortstop hit a 2-run single, putting the Ravens in front, 2-0.
