Sea Dogs Lose, 6-2, at Holyoke Grounds

The Providence Crabs defeated the Portland Sea Dogs, 6-2, at Holyoke Grounds today. Leading the charge for Providence was third baseman Curtiss May. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Gabe Azua got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Sea Dogs to 1 run on 6 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The Crabs improve their record to 40-42 with the win over Portland.
The Crabs got a big at-bat from first baseman Enmanuel Ramos. For the game, Ramos went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season gave Providence a 2-0 lead.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Ramos said after the game.
