Stompers Pull Even With 7-3 Victory
|
The Sonoma Stompers defeated the Modesto Nuts, 7-3. Doing his part was right fielder Grant Patterson, who went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Sonoma is 22-22 and Modesto, with the loss, 31-13.
Sonoma took a 5-3 lead on Hugo González's 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which González hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Modesto pitcher Steven Deane visibly frustrated.
González told a Sonoma Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
