Silverados Tack 10-7 Loss on Storm
|
The Napa Silverados beat the Lake Elsinore Storm by a score of 10-7. Napa designated hitter Leo Gerlinsky deserved the lion's share of the credit. Gerlinsky went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Silverados. Bácchio Barriga was credited with the save, his 4th in 5 tries. The triumph puts Napa at 82-52 for the season.
It could have been a different outcome for Napa, had it not been for Nicholas LaRoche, the 25-year old third baseman . LaRoche contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the second inning to put Napa up, 2-0.
"It was a solid team effort," Gerlinsky said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
