With 3-1 Win, Renegades Go to 24-18
|
The bats were silent much of the day at Roger Dean Stadium. But Jason Estrada conjured up just enough offense to carry the Renegades past the Jupiter Hammerheads, 3-1. Estrada was 1-2 with 2 walks. Roxo Vigil sewed up the save, his 3rd. The third-place Renegades improved to 24-18.
Hudson Valley used the timely hitting of Jim Webb to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Renegades on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Estrada.
