The Texas Rangers got a superb performance from third baseman Sebastian Carsten, but the Chicago Cubs still won the game, 5-4. Carsten went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. Chicago reliever A.K. Perozo picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Matias Roberts absorbed the loss. The Cubs raised their record to 2-5.

In the bottom of the seventh, Chicago pinch hitter Britt Bell put his team on top. With no one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit his 1st double of the year. Texas pitcher Matias Roberts served it up. Just like that, the Cubs were ahead, 5-4.

"Nice to get this one," said Bell. "Wins have been hard to come by."
