Led by Caleb Phillips, the Pittsburgh Pirates downed the Indianapolis Ignition, 5-3. Phillips was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Pirates. The Pirates raised their record to 2-5.
Phillips got the Pirates off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run.
