Loons Absorb 7-5 Loss at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium
Great Lakes catcher Paul Glentzer was sensational. He was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. South Bend beat the Loons, 7-5. Sebastián Mora got credit for the win, improving to 6-5. He allowed 4 runs on 5 hits in 6 innings. Noah Myers got credit for the save for South Bend. It was his 3rd of the year.

Vicente Lovato dealt the Loons a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and South Bend leading 5-1, Lovato hit a 0-1 slider for a 2-run single.

Lovato said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."

The Cubs sit in 7th place in the Midwest League Eastern Division with a record of 43-69.
