Suns Turn Away Catfish, 3-1
|
Hagerstown and Columbus played a hard-fought contest.
Hagerstown starter Jean Carlos Serrano pitched well against the Columbus Catfish at Progressive Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. The Suns now have a mark of 56-22.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Hoot Menees? The Hagerstown left fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Suns on top, 1-0. For the game, Menees had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Serrano pitched well, despite being a bit under the weather. "To be honest, I was sick before the game," he said. "Just a stomach bug."
