Mariners Come Up Short at San Francisco, 4-3
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the San Francisco Giants and Seattle Mariners.
The San Francisco Giants bested the Seattle Mariners, 4-3, at Oracle Park. Elías Saucedo was one of the standouts. He was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and a walk. San Francisco is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 7th in 19 games.
An important at-bat for the Giants came in the bottom of the seventh, when right fielder Zavier Austin stroked a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3 in favor of San Francisco. For the day, Austin went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Saucedo said.
