The Oil City Oilers defeated the Niagara Falls Rapids, 7-3, in New York-Penn League action at The Oil Field. Oil City pitcher Benjamin Wolff had a standout performance. Oil City is now 13-12, Niagara Falls 11-14.

James Valdivia was 1-4 with a walk for Oil City. The 22-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Hoyt Coltrane. It was his 24th walk of the season.

"Feels good to get the job done," Wolff said after the game.
