Muckdogs Deal Cavalry 9-5 Defeat
|
Batavia and New Westminster took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The timely hitting of Heath Twaddell helped the Batavia Muckdogs down the New Westminster Cavalry, 9-5. Twaddell went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Muckdogs. With the win, Batavia has a record of 18-8. New Westminster falls to 9-17.
Owen Goodwin made an early impact for Batavia when he stroked his 8th double of the season. The 2-run double, which came with two out in the bottom of the first, put the Muckdogs on top, 3-0.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Twaddell told the Batavia Observer.
