The Staten Island Pizza Rats defeated the Auburn Doubledays, 7-4. Doing his part was right fielder Palmer Hicks, who went 1 for 2 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Pizza Rats raised their record to 12-17.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Staten Island trailing 4-3, Hicks hit a changeup from Jack Stuto for a grand slam home run, giving the Pizza Rats the walk-off win.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hicks told the Staten Island Daily News.
