Atlanta Braves starter Austin Defenbaugh was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Baltimore Orioles, 3-1. With the loss, Baltimore drops to 12-10.
The Braves got a big at-bat from designated hitter Adrian Cooke. For the game, Cooke went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Atlanta a 3-1 lead.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Atlanta manager Pat Hitsman.
