Sea Unicorns Go Down to Defeat, 8-4
|
The Gold Beach Sea Unicorns got a superb performance from right fielder Graham Weber. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Boise. The Hawks won the game, 8-4. Weber went 2-4 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Picking up the win was Emiliano Torres. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The right--hander struck out 2 and walked 4. Obi-wan Suzor was credited with the save for Boise, his 4th of the season.
Karam Lynch aided the Boise cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances.
"We'll build on this win," said Lynch.
