Pirates Take Down Ignition, 3-0
|
The Pittsburgh Pirates picked up a win at Best Buy Ballpark, knocking off the Indianapolis Ignition, 3-0. Starting pitcher Rubin Morrison played a key role in the triumph. Indianapolis falls to 14-10.
Also pitching-in was Pittsburgh first baseman Chet Ross, who hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, Ross went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Ross told the Pittsburgh Chronicle.
