DeMarino and Bond Suspended for Free-for-All Sunday, August 6th , 2051 If there wasn't a history between Jonathan DeMarino of Philadelphia and Jamison Bond of St. Louis, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," DeMarino said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." In this current campaign DeMarino is hitting at a .269 clip with 12 home runs and 32 RBIs. In 13 starts this season Bond has recorded a 6-3 record and a 2.90 ERA. |
