Philadelphia, Kansas City Agree to Trade Monday, August 14th , 2051 The Philadelphia Phillies swapped $1 in cash for 29-year old RF Monte Baker of the Royals after what Kansas City officials would only characterize as "difficult" negotiations. Kansas City will retain a portion of Baker's remaining contract. This year Baker is hitting .271, produced 52 RBIs and 11 home runs, scored 59 times and gotten on base at a .314 rate. |
