Bad Behavior Costs Clement and Falconer Wednesday, July 10th , 2052 Yesterday at FNB Field Princeton Clement and Justin Falconer got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Gateway Grizzlies and Akron RubberDucks. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Clement will have to sit out 2 while Falconer would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. Clement is currently batting .215 with 1 home run and 23 RBIs. This season Falconer has made 1 relief appearance and saved 0 games. His record is 2-8 with 74 strikeouts in 78.1 innings with a 8.16 ERA. |
