5-Hit Game for Sauceda Monday, July 22nd , 2052 Keith Sauceda exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Joker Marchant Stadium. The Lakeland center fielder had a field day in the 14-4 triumph over the Lynchburg Hillcats, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Sauceda must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Keith Sauceda singled in the 1st, flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. To date Sauceda has chalked up a .315 average with 2 home runs, driven in 25 runs and scored 33 times. View Boxscore |
