Season May Be Over for Ironbirds Nave Monday, July 1st , 2052 The season is finished for Herb Nave of the Aberdeen Ironbirds. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Ironbirds right fielder suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament while running the bases in a recent game against the Connecticut Tigers. Team doctors said it would take at least 6 months to heal. This season Nave is swinging the bat at a .371 rate with 13 hits in 35 at-bats. To date he has hit 1 home run, scored 3 runs and driven in 6. |
