Late Rally by Rangers Secures Win
|
The Texas Rangers beat the Boston Red Sox by a score of 7-4. first baseman Todd Frazier deserved the lion's share of the credit. Frazier went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Rangers. The loss has the Red Sox at 19-15.
Texas used the timely hitting of Matt Duffy to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rangers on top, 7-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Duffy. "And not try to do too much."
