Indians Walk Off with 2-1 Win
|
The Cleveland Indians finished things off in style.
The Cleveland Indians did just enough to sneak past the Boston Red Sox, 2-1, at Progressive Field. Cleveland pitcher Shane Bieber, in particular, had a standout performance. The winner was Adam Cimber in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Heath Hembree took the loss.
Cleveland won the game in the bottom of the 13th inning. With one out and Heath Hembree on the mound for Boston, left fielder Jordan Luplow hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Indians fans to their feet.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Luplow said.
The Indians move to 30-32 with the win, while the Red Sox drop to 30-33.
