McCain Belts 5 Hits Saturday, September 5th, 2020 It was a parade of hits for Garrett McCain of the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels at Charlotte Sports Park today. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, McCain finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Mighty Mussels to a 32-9 victory. "McCain was really good and we were really bad," groaned Stone Crabs manager . "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Garrett McCain hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 7th, doubled in the 8th and walked in the 9th. This season McCain is batting .301 with 23 RBIs, 31 runs scored and no home runs. |
