Bouknight, Trojans Too Much for Navies
Dick Bouknight impressed in the 10-9 Cincinnati win over Chicago. Bouknight, who is a five-time All-Star, was 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 4 runs. Jesse Houston, credited with the win in relief, is now 12-7. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The Western Association-leading Trojans have a record of 101-49.

George Galios, who finished 4th in the WA in slugging percentage with .427 in 1945, helped out the Cincinnati cause in the top of the eighth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the second baseman went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
