Zeppelins Get Past Cincinnati, 6-5
The Kansas Zeppelins overcame a pretty good performance by Cincinnati first baseman Johnny Mize, beating the Trojans, 6-5, in 10 innings. Mize was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. The Zeppelins raised their record to 55-101.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Sidney Hathaway? The 21-year old catcher Hathaway stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put Kansas up, 6-5. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"A win like this one," said Hathaway, "makes me feel warm all over."
