Crandall Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Sunday, September 9th , 1951
Los Angeles catcher Del Crandall had a day to remember, 5-for-5 against the Saint Louis Saints at Pacific Electric Field as the Aviators picked up a win, 12-5.
"He was patient up there," Los Angeles skipper S. Raymond Jeffers told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Crandall has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."

For the season, Crandall is hitting .302, batted in 44 runs with 7 home runs and 36 runs scored.
